- MusicianCorps enters the New Year serving at 26 schools, 7 Youth Centers, 2 Public Housing Communities, 4 Hospitals, 2 Hospice Homes, and 10 Community Based Organizations

- NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams airs national story on MusicianCorps
- MusicianCorps finishes at #16, out of over 1000 other programs, in national Pepsi Refresh contest
- Pilot programs and Fellows wrap up service year, documentation and evaluation

- MusicianCorps completes its first year with 20 MC Fellows empowering over 3,200 disadvantaged youth in New Orleans, Seattle, Chicago, Oakland and San Francisco with a music education and 21st century leadership skills—like imagination, courage, discipline, perseverance, teamwork and critical thinking. In its first year, MusicianCorps touched over 7,000 additional community members through 105 outreach events and the creation of 62 recording projects, bands and ensembles
- MNS National Gathering for MusicianCorps Fellows in San Francisico to review outcomes & lessons learned, and make music.
